So, thanks to Karen, I'm thinking about opening a store at Etsy instead of Ebay. Thanks, Karen! My brother, who makes custom fly rods from reclaimed barn wood, may open a shop there too.
One of the things I need to figure out is what to call my little company. I'm open to ideas! You know I like cats and bling, so feel free to work with those. Also, I'm wondering about pricing. I'm going to show you a few things that will be up for sale along with the prices I'm thinking of. Please let me know if you think the prices are too high, too low or fair. This is new ground for me so any suggestions are welcome.

I know my pics aren't the best, I'm going to work on that. Actually, I'm going to take the pics outside in the sun. I think that will show the colors off best. Okay, tell me what you think!
These are gorgeous Kristen. Love the silver! As for pricing you have to figure what would give you a profit after your bead cost and time. 12.00 is a great price but seems low to me for handmade.
ReplyDeleteVery prett! I've gone to jewerly shows where I've spent $65 for just a necklace, so your prices are good.
ReplyDeleteJust curious... what kind of silver is on the earings? Is it sterling or plated?
Jennifer - the beads are just plated. I hope to find a good source for sterling, until then I have to use what I can get.
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of anyone who has the creativity to make jewelry.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
You're welcome! I think Etsy is awesome. I plan on shopping there for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI'm terrible at coming up with names so I'm no help. But I can't wait to check out your store! :)
I think your prices are very good. You seem to have a real talent--your pieces are pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Kristen! I didn't know you were that good at the jewelry making.I like the brown beaded necklace.
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful! As for opening a store on Etsy, I think it's a great idea. A friend of mine has sold several of her sculptures on Etsy.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to take a look at her store, the link to her blog is on my site. The name is Odd Imagination. I think she has a link to her Etsy site there. :-)
Again...beautiful work!!
I think I want bit o' honey for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteEtsy is crafter crack. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteLove the jewelry. I never had much patience for making them but they are fun to sport around when you do. You can cook, make jewelry, and have an eye for fashion! Hotrod is one lucky fella!! :)
