The new Nic Cage movie, Knowing, comes out today, so we're planning to hit the matinee and check it out, then do another round of homemade pizza for dinner tonight.
I'll also be writing - just like I did yesterday. Don't you love it when you feel like what you're working on is really, really good? I'm loving the book I'm writing, and I'm enjoying the work. Which is not to say it's easy, but that it's worth it.
Saturday, Hotrod and the Sicilian (doesn't that sound like a '70's movie?) are headed to the races in Sebring, FL. My dad knows a guy who sponsor a car so they're going to get to be in the pits and everything. My mother and I will be celebrating this exciting opportunity by shopping.
What are your weekend plans?

Very nice weekend planned. I plan on praying my back heals and shuffling off to my daughters dance recital on Saturday. I love seeing her dance.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to watch my oldest son's high school band perform tonight and a birthday party tomorrow. We've been to an endless stream of birthday parties for weeks. At least the weather's nice.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Kristen!
Oh, let us know how the movie is.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just realized this--I bet my older brother and your husband would get along great. My brother loves those races and car shows. My dad left him a Cobra when he died, and that Cobra is at almost every car show in Florida. Lol. His name is John Montgomery--so say hi if you're ever at a car show and see a red Cobra.
Read a "less than enthusiastic" review of Knowing. Be interesting to hear what you thought.
ReplyDeleteweekend plans - RWA chapter meeting.
Today - Mow the yard. In fact, I expect to hear the hubs hollering for me any minute
I think I'm testing recipes this weekend--possibly on Stinger's boss and Boss's Wife, so we'll see how that goes. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeletemmm....tomorrow is catch-up day. Gotta do bills, laundry, housework, yardwork. Sunday is Sunday school teaching, Church and drive two hours to my niece's birthday party. I'm tired already.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking my four year old to his first ever roller skating party. LOL I'm kind of excited.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're enjoying what you're writing. Makes it more fun.
I've heard a little about that movie. Let us know what you think.
I feel like doing some first draft revising, then maybe a little shopping.
ReplyDeletewhat a life, what a life! eh? LOL!
Thta's great about your writing. It's such an awesome feeling when you like what you're working on. LOL
ReplyDeleteI just got back from volunteering from the PTA carnival. I hope that's all I have planned for the rest of this weekend. I'm pooped.
