What are your plans for tonight? Anything big going on? A party? A gathering of friends or a blow out bash? I've spent New Year's Eve in Times Square, the rockin' streets of San Antonio, the bead-trashed avenues of New Orleans, on a ship in the Bahamas, the beaches of the Cayman Islands...many different spots. But tonight, we're staying in.
I'll probably be in bed by 10 pm. With a book. Hey, it's my New Year's Eve, I can do with it what I want. Not to mention Hotrod will be snoring by 11 PM at the latest anyway.
In other news, it's Day 3 of the Master Cleanse and I'm down another pound. (2 days, 6 pounds for those of you playing along with the home game.) I got out for another 35 minute walk yesterday - man, that feels good! It's so nice to be out in the sunshine.
So, tell me about your NYE plans.

Good for you mastering the Cleanse! I'm going to be watching my daughter dance at church to ring on the New Year and then back home. No partying for me but with family.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be doing our usual....dinner out somewhere and then home. I've done the "party scene" and usually, I find I'd just rather be home (except for the dinner out!)
ReplyDeleteDinner and a movie. But I like your plans better. :) I highly doubt I'll make it to midnight.
ReplyDeleteYou already know my plans, LOL. Happy New Year Kristen! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be partying with my writing pals. It's a family party with spouses and kids. I'll probably have to take a nap this afternoon so I can stay up til midnight.
ReplyDeleteMaster cleanse -- is this the one with lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper in water? I've thought about trying that but it said you shouldn't stray far from the bathroom and the first 3 days of next week I have appointments -- doctor and hair.
Wow, you may have to go shopping soon! congrats. :-)
ReplyDeleteTonight people are coming over for fried fish and poker. It should be fun.
I hate to sound like an old crank where New Year's Eve is concerned but like HotRod, I'm usually snoozing long before the ball drops. The only time we've ever done anything special for New Year's was the Y2K party we had. Unfortunately, only a handful of people came, because everyone was afraid that the world was going to come to an end that night. Yes, I know. I have some goofy friends.
ReplyDeleteThanks for answering about the master cleanse. Are you doing the salt water thing too? That's the part I dread because I don't even salt my food.
ReplyDeletePicking up Mr. Right at the airport and then celebrating with my sister and her family... I may be up to watch the ball drop this year!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy, healthy, and successful writing career in 2009!
Congrats on the weight loss...even if it is just water, it is a great way to boost a long lasting weight loss.
ReplyDeleteAnd tonight I'm in Louisiana...in a Fairfield Inn...will probably watch the NY thing on TV since my friend is there in the crowd somewhere.
No big plans for New Year's Eve, just a quiet night at home with the family. Now that the holidays are over, I'll be dieting too. Congrats on your success.
