Today is my dad's birthday. If you know my dad, you're a fortunate person. If you don't, well, at least you know me. People who know us both say I'm a lot like him. I take that as a compliment. (Except for the impatience part which admittedly, we both need to work on.)
My dad is the hardest working, most honest, straight-forward guy you'll ever meet. He's a man of few words, but unending support. He's one of those guys who can't go anywhere without running into someone he knows. These places include Times Square on New Year's Eve and a deserted beach in Antigua.
He wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth (if anything it was tin and stolen from the neighbors) but he and my mom made a life for my brother and I that I wouldn't change for all the pasta in Italy.
He is a real life hero. I love you, dad. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

It's the most wonderful day of the year!
It's the one day of the year when two very special people with a love of sparkly things and a penchant for saying exactly what they're thinking share a birthday - that's right, Mr. T and ME!
I pity the fool who doesn't wish us a happy day. ;o) Now I must eat cake for breakfast and bring out the bling.
PS. Happy Birthday, Mr. T!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
I won't tell you how old my mother is, but I will tell you she looks awesome and totally doesn't act her age. She pretty much rocks. And I love her madly - she's the best mother/friend/supporter a girl could ask for.
Have a great day, mom!

I Pity The Fool!
What is Mr. T doing on my blog today, you ask? Well, let me tell you. See, Mr. T and I share a birthday. And that birthday happens to be TODAY!
So not only do we both like a good tan and appreciate sparkly things, but we were both born on May 21st. Amazing, huh? I was never an actual member of the A Team, however. Hard to believe, I know.
And while I can't speak for what Mr. T will be doing (jewelry shopping?), Hotrod and I will be spending the day at Universal Studios riding rollercoasters, eating junk and acting like teenagers, despite the fact that I turn 39 today and he's been 39 waaaaaaaaay longer.Of course it goes without saying that I pity the fool who doesn't wish me happy birthday.

Happy Birthday Dad!
My parents are here visiting and today is my dad's birthday. He's coming up with all sorts of things he wants for presents, but I'm trying to explain to him that gift ideas need to come sooner than the actual day of the birthday.
Anyway, they leave tomorrow so the writing will begin anew then. My goal for this month is 125 pages. What's your writing goal for September?
