Friday Round Up

Just some random collected thoughts for you this Friday:

1. I am no longer 19. Thank God. I am so much better than I was at 19!

2. Working out is good for me. It makes me strong and gives me a shape I like. I just wish there was a workout that involved the consumption of spaghetti and meatballs. Or that I liked the shape consuming said food gives me.

3. There are three groups of people of who go to theme parks: those who dress appropriately, those who look like they just rolled out of bed and those who seem to think it's a contest to show as much skin as possible. Seriously, if you're over 60 and weigh more than 300 pounds, leave the tube top home. Thanks.

4. My husband is my best friend. Marry a man you can be silly with and you won't go wrong.

5. Friends are a rare and valuable commodity. Love them back as much as they love you. Maybe more.

Any random observations you'd like to share?

  1. Glad that you had a great time out! I like the comment about your husband--makes me think sweet thoughts about my own:)

  2. Great list!

I'd add this: Stop worrying so much about the details and enjoy the bigger picture.

I need help with that one. ^

My body was so much better at 19 but my mind is so much better at my current undisclosed age.

Life is too short to spend every day worrying about things you cannot change

  4. Like Cyndi said, my body was so much better then, but my mind is so much better now. It's great about you and your hubby. What a wonderful way to be together. =o)

The random thought running through my head recently is a quote from Cyril Connolly (whoever he is): "Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self."

  6. I wish I had the body I did at 19, lol, but I love where I am now. Love # 4 & 5, so true. Oh, and #3 should be a rule for the people that shop at Target too (or at least the Target near me)

  8. Yay! I have a silly husband of my own. He rocks. Also? Silly pets are a bonus. Very little is funnier to me than my ridiculous dogs.

  9. I've noticed that whenever I'm running late or need to get somewhere in a hurry, "Sunday drivers" decide to pull out in front of me. :)

  10. What is it these days with ponderously heavy women who wear their pants low on their hip bones and shirts that 'accidently' slide up to show off their middles? News flash -- not attractive.

  11. yeah i experience this at the gym. i think good for everyone trying to get in shape but when you have the body such as one described in #3 please don't wear only a sports bra to the gym and walk around naked in the locker room. we're glad you're proud of said body but it makes everyone else a little uncomfortable lol.

  12. Live in the moment. Take the time to enjoy what is happening right now and most importantly, the people who are sharing it with you:)
