Wednesday Whys

Why is there no watermelon delivery service? I love the stuff. I mean LOVE it. I ate a whole one yesterday. (Not all at once.) I'll probably eat another one today, but then I'm out. If there was a delivery service, I'd have them bring me one every day.

Even one of those funky square Japanese ones. Although I hear they're uber expensive. At least it would sit nicely in the fridge and not coming barreling out of the car when you opened the back hatch. (Trust me on that one. Not good.)

And now, back to my editing cave! I must finish these edits so I can deliver this book to my beta readers tomorrow. What are you working on? What's your Wednesday Why?

  1. You are so funny. I've never seen the square ones. Enjoy the editing.

  2. MMmm, watermelons aren't here yet. I love them, too. We could have a watermelon eating contest! Better yet, I bet you can spit seeds like a champ.

  3. Actually, I'm too lazy to by the ones with seeds.

  4. Why is it, when I actually have time by myself, I squander it merely thinking about what I should do - instead of doing it?!

Here's to watermelon! There are much worse things to eat all of in one day. I know this as fact. ;)

  5. I love watermelons! Just got a big one and a couple cantelopes from the grocery store yesterday. Nothing like refreshing fruit on a summer day. Good luck w/ the edits!

  8. Ever try a watermelon pina colada? They make life worthwhile. I did a bad thing a few years ago and let someone talk me into putting salt on my watermelon - now I MUST have salt on my watermelon.

Today I mailed out a partial to an agent on request! And later I'm either going to start working on a new story, or revising an old one.

  10. Sorry I missed the Wednesday Why. I love watermelon, but they don't love me back. I haven't eaten so much as a nibble of one in years.

    I didn't get doodle done yesterday. Here's to a better Thursday. =o)

  11. Okay, what's weird about me and watermelon is that I don't really care for it. Except on the 4th of July and then I crave it like a ho on crack. Then the next day, it tastes bland to me again. What's up with that?
