Wednesday is for readers

I've been so caught up in writing that I haven't been doing much reading lately. I'd like to, but reading and writing don't always go hand-in-hand for me. And I especially can't read in the genre I'm writing - I think a lot of writers feel this way.

So tell me what you're reading and maybe I'll find something new to tempt me!

  1. I've been trying to read Jim Butcher. With the opening lines, I realized this was the first male author I've read in ages. But I say "trying" 'cause he hasn't reached out and compelled me to sit in the chair and read.

  2. Did you check out The Bondwoman's Narrative? It's just amazing. I've been sucked in in a way I didn't expect.

  3. I'm actually re-reading a few older Linda Howard novels. Am waiting until I'm done with my current manuscript to dive into Jill Sorenson's Set the Dark on Fire (it's been on my shelf too long). I did just read Caridad Pineiro's Sins of the Flesh a couple weeks ago and I really enjoyed it! It's not UF or paranormal so I don't think it's in your genre :)

  5. Hmm. Just got a batch of new research books, including one about the Bocuse d'Or--not sure you'd be interested in that! Or maybe you would...
