Some fresh blood
Here's the blurb:
Maris's life as a comarré has come down to three options: escape her patron and spend the rest of her days looking over her shoulder, fight him for her freedom with the understanding it could mean her death or undergo dangerous experimentation to transform her blood into something even more powerful.
Before she can make a decision, she discovers the vampire who's been charged with sunproofing her blood isn't so fond of her patron either. In fact, Dominic is unlike any vampire she's ever met, but is she desperate enough to put her trust in another noble? Her heart says yes...
Check it out on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Books On Board.
I hope y'all love it!

Back at work
One of my big goals today is to make some headway on my novella. Yesterday turned out to be a bust writing-wise. (I got a lot of other stuff done, though. Including cleaning out and reorganizing some of my drawers.)
I don't know why the novella is giving me such fits. I like the story and the characters, I just can't seem to fit the right amount of story into those few pages. I'm so used to writing long that wrapping my head around this length is proving really difficult.
It's just a mini-version of a novel, so why can't I get it?
Any suggestions? Links to articles that might help me? I'm game for anything.

Me In The RWR
My letter to the editor is in the Romance Writer's Report this month, currently in mailboxes or about to be.
I'm really curious what the response (if any) will be.
In other news, I'm really getting into Twitter. If you're on there, check me out at: http://twitter.com/Kristen_Painter I'm pretty good at following those who follow me, so add me and I'll come check you out!
Lastly, I need to write today. I say that every day, but the novella I'm working on is trying to kill me and I'm doing my best to resist it. Today I need to bite the bullet and get some pages done. If it's crap when I'm finished, it's crap, but at least it will be done, right? Have you ever written a story like that? One you didn't have a lot of faith in but wanted to finish anyway?
