Obsess Much?


Pics are up on the RWA site to accompany the names and titles of the Golden Heart finalists. Sigh. Ick. Sigh.

I hate pictures of myself and having this one taken was especially painful due to the mouthful of metal I currently sport on my grill. I insisted on no open mouth smiling. I just didn't want my braces immortalized for this particular event, know what I mean?

One good thing...I'm at the top. At least you don't have to scroll to see me. And I know the picture will look better when it's blown up on the big screen during the actual awards ceremony but right now it's rather pixel-y. I wonder if I was the only one barefoot during their photoshoot?

All I can say is I write much better than I photograph. Thank heavens for that.

    Personally, I rather like the picture. I think not smiling gives you a more ... no-nonsense sort of look, the girl you don't wanna mess with. :)

    That being said, I know the feeling regarding photos ... the majority of the pictures of me that have come out well, to my opinion, have been ones I've taken myself. :P

    Hey Kristen... you going to the RWA this year? I would love to go, but I don't think I can afford it. Which bums me out because I am in Oregon and can drive to the sucker!

    Teri - I am going to Reno and I can't wait. I went last year and it was unbelievable! Have you checked the RWA Online roommate listings? Maybe you could share a room with someone?

    Thanks Jana. Finding out I was a finalist was definitely one of the more unbelievable moments of my life.

    I wonder what it will feel like to be nominated for a RITA...

    Of course, I need to get published first. ;o)

    I have to say I was proud to be the first person she called! If she hadn't I would have flown to W. Virginny to kick her butt... I liked the picture very much, but I think she should have put up the really sexy one and make everyone jealous..instead, I finally gave into the conservative number.. scoff.. hehe... **Jax runs away before Kristen blinds her with her braces....
