Only 68 pages to go and my current manuscript, The Perfect Dish, will be done! Well, the first draft will be done. There will be polishing to do but I am so psyched! I've never written a book this quickly. Pretty amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it, huh? I started this book the week before conference so that's 16 weeks of writing - although due to travel and moving from Virginia to Florida, there were many weeks I didn't write more than a few pages.
I can't wait to type "The End". It's such a great feeling! (I like edits best. I know, I'm a sick puppy.)
What's your favorite part of writing? The beginning? The end? The polishing?

Woo Hoo Kristen :)
ReplyDeleteI like the initial writing the best. Although they are essential . . . revisions are NOT my favoite part of the process.
Kristen, that's great! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWho wants to edit! I hate it. I prefer the actual first draft writing because it's so exhilirating to type it. I'm doing well on my WIP. Hope to have it done by the end of November.
ReplyDeleteSo you've found THE ZONE. Good for you, Kristen. Keep up the great work.

I like it best when I'm in that Zone and everything is flowing. Getting ready and plotting isn't so bad. Editting can be okay, but it isn't my least favorite part. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou have blasted that story out. I've been keeping track and you have been blazing away. I am so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteThese final days must be excrucuating.
My favorite part of writing is the editing. Writing the first draft can be hard, frustrating. Once I've got my first draft then I thoroughly enjoy it from then on out.
ReplyDeleteI prefer editing over writing the first draft. Yuck.
