Happy Monday!

It's December and that both thrills and frightens me. I love Christmas, but the amount of "stuff" that remains to be done before the year is over boggles my mind.

Mostly, I need to finish the book I'm writing, get it polished and turned into my agent. Hotrod is out of town for a few days, so I'm hoping I can really get some pages done to make up for my pitiful lack of writing while we were up at my folks this last week.

We're also traveling again this month - a mission trip to Costa Rica. Then there will be some Christmas prep when we get back, parties to attend, ballet recitals to see, etc. This is just a busy, busy month. (Not to mention I have 7 more books to read to hit my goal of 50!)

Today, before I can write, I've got to run errands (we have no food in the house since we've been gone a week). Then I'm gluing myself to the laptop and getting intimate with the keyboard. What are your plans for today?

  1. Wow you do have a busy month. Me too. I can't seem to wrap my head around it. I'm excited to hear more about your mission trip to Costa Rica. When I have time I want to catch up on you tutorial too. It was getting to good to me this week before I went away.

Yes we may have passed each other on I-95 in that rain and traffic but we missed quite a but by leaving on Saturday and getting home in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

So much housework today today and I too want to finish editing a book this month and have not begin Christmas prep. I'll start with a wreath on my door today. Usually my tree is up today. Maybe my the weekend.

  2. Can I tell you how jealous I am that you're doing a missions trip? I would LOVE to do one of them and hope one day when the kids are bigger we can do one as a family.

And you should be getting intimate with that keyboard. Lick it if you have to, but some of us are waiiitting here!

  3. And your etsy descriptions remind me of the J Peterman catalog, which I adore. You're just made of hot these days.

  5. At naptime I'm hoping to get some wordage in. And I guess at some point in the day I should fold laundry and unload the dishwasher. *scowl*
So, Costa Rica sounds fun. Do you speak Spanish?

Also, saw your comment on my blog. Speaking of The Big Guy, Sarah on my sidebar just posted that her hubby got a new liver right before Thanksgiving. I thought that was pretty awesome. :-)

  8. Did you notice the cat's expression in that photo?

    It's gonna happen.

One day cats are going to rise up and destroy humanity.

    You just watch.

  11. I feel the same way, and guilty when writing. So much else to do. Everyone thinks of the writing as procrastinating. Well, it is, but that doesn't make it unimportant.
