Pancakes

Pancakes, flapjacks, griddlecakes, whatever you call them, they're yummy. And when it comes to breakfast, I think about pancakes a lot, but they're not my "go to" breakfast food. They're delicious and yet somehow wrong. As in, the deliciousness is tempered by how not healthy they are. Does that make sense? If pancakes were full of vitamins and minerals and cancer fighting properties, I'd eat them every day. But alas, they're not.

So I thought, maybe somebody out there in blog land has a healthy pancake recipe. It could happen, right? Hence this post. If you have a delicious, healthy pancake recipe, lay it on me.

The syrup is waiting.

  1. I wish. I'm like you. I'd eat pancakes every day if I could. The best I can do is only eat one and use 'light' syrup. Good luck in your recipe search.

  2. I know I made a recipe from the book Deceptively Delicious...pancakes that had some kind of vegetable puree added. They were good, but had a weird texture. I think pancakes can be made healthy...I've seen recipes for whole wheat flour and what not, but in the end, they probably taste nothing like what a pancake should taste like.

My advice....do it once in a while and do it up right!

  3. I love pancakes but like you, I can't eat them too often. And now my mouth is watering for some thick blueberry pancakes (with some thick, so bad for me syrup) :)
