It's been a big, big week

This has been one of the craziest, but best, weeks of my life.

First I got my very awesome Samhain cover. Then I found out I was selected to be one of the people who gets to try out a Sony reader for 2 months. Then yesterday, the biggest news of all...

My agent, Elaine Spencer, sold my urban fantasy to Orbit in a three book deal!

I feel pretty blessed right now. And I want to say thanks to my friend and Romance Divas co-founder, Jax Cassidy. Jax has always believed in me, always been a strong supporter of my work, always encouraged me when I wasn't feeling so great about this business, always told me I would sell. And while there have been other people in my life who've been there for me, Jax and I have pretty much been in this together from the beginning. So not only is she a talented writer/author herself, but she's a great friend. (And my webmistress!) I hope you all have a Jax in your life.

Girls Day Out

Yesterday, Babe and I and Lara Santiago went to see the Sex And The City movie. It was fairly entertaining, but it did not make me cry like it did some of my other friends who had already seen it. I think Babe and Lara liked it, too.

Afterwards we went to Panera Bread for some lunch and girl talk. Babe also snagged the world's largest straw.

Today we're having more lunch and girl talk, this time including such fabulous girls as Roxanne St. Claire and Jax. Of course, what happens at lunch, stays at lunch.

Be jealous.

Why not treat yourself and support a struggling writer. lol Honestly, buying her book would be a great way to not only support her but to also show your love for Romance Divas since Jax is my co-founder at that fabulous site. Oh - and don't forget to leave some lovely reviews at Barnes and Noble and Amazon when you're done, okay? We gotta get our girl some buzz!

In other news, did anyone catch Priscilla Presley on Dancing with the Stars last night? She didn't actually dance since last night was just the guys, but wow - does she have any functioning facial muscles left or have they all been sutured into submission? Yikes. She used to be hot. Now she looks like the Goth High Priestest of Botox.

Pay attention, kittens. This is a prime example of what not to do! Seriously. Okay, I'm off to fight aging in my own way. On the elliptical. Smooches!

I thought I'd pop up a pic or two of my Nationals experience. Here's the lovely (and funny) Leanne Banks, Jax and I about to head into the Harlequin party. The congo line followed shortly thereafter. Isn't Leanne hot?

My only regret is that the photog didn't get my shoes. They're these fabulous strappy chocolate leather platforms with gold studs - delish! Anyway, I was rockin' that leopard print, if I do say so myself.
