Fun Things Three-Year-Olds Say

Upon viewing a drawing I did for him (he made me draw construction vehicles most of last night), he replied, "That's a mess."

Gee, thanks.

When I went to help with a few things for dinner, then came back, he looked up at me with these big sad eyes and said, "Why you no play with me?"

Because obviously I don't have enough guilt in my life.

During dinner, he started climbing on me, hanging on me and finally, crawled into my lap. I asked him what he was doing. His response? "I'm trying to love you."

All together now...Awwwww.

That is so sweet. My little one blew me a hug the other day. ;) I blew him back a kiss.

  3. Yeah, being loved is a messy and dangerous business, but somebody's gotta do it. :-)

Hmmm...I think my husband might have the mentality of a 3-year-old.

Because the other day, he was standing right behind me while I was cooking, making it so I couldn't walk or do anything. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm trying to love you."

(Of course, he was trying to prove a point about how annoying it is if someone is looking over your shoulder while you're trying to do somethng else, but he did actually say the same phrase as your nephew.)
