Wallpaper as Inspiration

What image is on your desktop wallpaper? What do you see everyday when you fire up the old laptop or pc? Do you change it out regularly? Do you use it to hold a picture of something that inspires you to write your current WIP? A picture of your hero, perhaps, or a place that serves as the setting?
The orchid is my current wallpaper. I favor simple, colorful graphics for the most part. My traveling laptop has a picture of two of my cats sleeping together - moments before they woke up, realized how close they were and started wrestling. I've used "inspirational" pictures before but they never seem to ring true with me. The hero pics are never quite "him", the setting not exactly as my mind pictures it.
So, what's on your desktop?

I have a picture of Darcy and Elizabeth from the recent Pride & Prejudice movie. They're standing in a field and he's touching her face. :)

  2. Mine is the basic tropical beach. Blue water, palm trees. All you have to do is look out your window and see that, but here in dry NM, water is harder to come by. :)

  3. I switch out my wallpapers often, but I'm a huge Linda Bergkvist fan and I've had this one up for a long time on my laptop.

  4. Oh, but when I'm writing certain characters, I switch back to this one. (g)

I've got a picture of Mendenhall Glacier on my deskptop at work. I took it when we went to Alaska this past year.

We used to have a picture of Sedond as our wallpaer on the laptop at home, but Mr. brice just switched it to a picture of our fave little baby panda and his mom. :)

  7. I have a really cool space picture. Every time I see it, I get a little breathless -- so many possibilities out there!

  8. I finally put blue roses on my desktop. I was switching like mad for awhile, but I have a silver laptop with a blue border/frame around the keyboard.

Hence, the blue roses. They fill the entire screen.
