An agent's response to RWA's Epub stance

If you've read the most recent letter from RWA's president, Diane Pershing, in the June edition of the RWR and it left you steaming, you should probably read THIS incredible essay on the subject by super agent Deidre Knight. Read it even if you haven't read Pershing's letter, but you're just upset over RWA's treatment of epublishers and epublished authors.

Feel free to spread the link to this amazing post far and wide.

  2. Sorry about that deleted post. I screwed up. Anyway...

Excellent post by Deidre. I don't write romance and I'm not a member of RWA, but this issue steams me. Pershing's stance seems short-sighted and silly - especially given today's publishing climate.

  4. Spot on Diedre.

I made my PAN in my first royalty cheque from my Older Woman Younger Man at EC and it didn't come out until mid month, yet the RWA doesn't think that I am valid. Hmmm.

  5. Such a great post! Diane Pershing's letter just steamed me b/c she talked in such generalities w/ nothing to back herself up. I became PAN (a few times over) w/ my first release to EC and that was a novella (and it released mid-month), which meant a lot less time writing but still a substantial investment. But you know, I'm not taking this writing thing very seriously. Grrr.
