I'm sweating, but I don't like it

I'm back to working out and counting calories. Not my favorite combination of things, say like shopping and sipping a chocolate milkshake, but a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do if she doesn't want to end up in a bigger size. I find that no matter what diet or change of eating I try, limiting calories and exercise are my surefire solution.

And of course, Nationals are coming up and don't we all try to trim down for that? So, I need to stop blogging and get my booty on the elliptical. Hopefully in a few weeks there will be less of it to haul up there.

Are you working out? What kind of exercise are you doing?

  1. Running and Weights as heavy as I can lift. It's the only thing that fills up the jiggle arms and turkey neck. I'm shooting for a size six at nationals. Haven't been that since....the nineties. But then last year at nationals I was a tank. Really, I was.

  2. I keep trying to get into an exercise routine, and failing. For a while, the walking every day was working, but the first rainy morning killed it. I'll try again. I always do. Sooner or later something's gotta give. Right?

  5. I'm doing the ultimate new york body plan and have lost 10 lbs since friday. only 10-15 more to go until I'm at my highschool weight of between 110-115 before graduation. it's a two week diet and then you start incorporating certain foods back into your diet and exercise everyday is a must. It's by the guy that helps Heidi Klum back into shape after her pregnancy. you can order the book from bn.com its called the ultimate new york body plan. of course if you just want to diet then you can buy the ultimate new york diet. they're both good and i highly recommend them when you need to lose weight in 2 weeks like say for nationals kristen!!! lol good luck!

  6. I'm working out! (and watching calories, too)

I walk and use the elliptical and take a body sculpting class. (although I think I need to do the class more than once a week) :(

  7. I'm doing the same thing. 20-25 minutes of aerobic and then about 15 minutes of weights.
My mom has always had the hardest time losing weight but she just started counting calories and lost five pounds in a month. She's hooked, I think. LOL
    Good luck!

Not doing it. Should be but not.

And frankly, the older you get, the hard it will be to shake those pounds (said the voice of experience)

  9. I went back to lifting weights this week as my arms look sinful in sleevless tops! Oh the horror of aging!
Then of course I visit my treadmill occassionally:)(did I spell that right???)

  10. I've dropped 20# in the last few months but I'm at a plateau and really need to start exercising more if I'm going to drop anymore.
