Who Says You Can't Go Home Again?

I'm headed up to the Eastern Shore of Maryland today to see my mom, dad, grandfather, brother, sis-in-law and adorable nephew. I haven't seen Ben (the nephew - refers to himself as Bobo - how cute is that?) since last March. Far too long.

While I'm there, I'm going to eat crabs! Mmmm...

My mother tells me there's a good chance some shopping will be done as well. I love that woman.

What are the things you look forward to when you visit "home"?

  3. My mom and brother cooking all sorts of stuff...my bro is a chef!
Right now I miss the simple things, like free babysitting and a trip to Target. Can you believe there are none in Hawaii? And they call it America!

  5. Have a great time! I actually never left my hometown. Still in the same town I went to school in and where my family is.

  6. Hmm, my place is the only home I have. At the moment with everything in flux there's not a lot to look forward to here, but I did get son no 2 a new bed today and he was chuffed, and we made a pile of black currant pies which made the house smell wonderful. I envy you guys having a family home to go nest in. How special is that? A place to love and be loved just for the fact of being. Awesome.
