Morning. DO. NOT. WANT.

Thanks to Hotrod's inability to let go of his long-passed youth (he's 9 years older than me, have I mentioned that?), he played basketball with the guys after church last night - and by guys, I mean those male humans who probably just started shaving a few years ago and think retirement planning is something only their parents should be doing.

He seemed fine when he came home, although fine is relative because at any given moment he can start gimping around due to his 130 year old knees. Anyway, about 2 AM I was awoken to the sounds of...well, let's just put it out there: whimpering. Seems his back decided the knees were getting too much attention.

Long story short, I refused to take him to the emergency room (aren't I a sympathetic wife?), doped him up with some pain meds left over from something or other and stayed with him until 4 AM when he finally fell asleep on the couch. He's still sleeping. Meds, I love you!

Anywho, I have a crap load to do today, including getting my hair some much needed attention, but all I really want to do is nap. Cranky, thy name is Kristen.

How did you sleep last night?

  1. LOL. What a good wife you are! I would't have taken Mike Geraci to the ER either;0

  2. Well, my daughter insists that it is not HER cat that is scratching all night at the bathroom door (she is but a kitten, plays all night and thus, is banned to the bathroom to play). Rather, she blames our 14 YO family cat. WELL, last night family cat went to the basement to sleep, and still I heard the scratching. Thus, it is kitten making all the noise and keeping me from sleep.

  4. I also have one of those husbands who refuses to make consessions for his age. He volunteers to do physical training (he's in law enforcement) with guys half his age, then is surprised when they kick his fifty-plus butt!

  5. That sucks K. I slept fine, but was just hitting a great dream when the alarm went off. Something about me and a beach and multiple cabana boys who look like Adrian Grenier and some suntan lotion I needed assistance applying.

  6. Oh, your poor guy! :-( No worries about the emergency room. You probably saved a whole bunch of money just doping him up. lOL

I slept horrible. Usually like a log (except when a kiddo wakes me up) but last night I really tossed and turned. It stunk.

Have fun with your hair cut.

  7. Well, you know my guy. If he wants me to take him to the emergency room, it's because his neck is broken and he can't drive his own car. ;) Oh wait... Anyway, hope Hotrod recovers. And learns his lesson, although I hold out less hope for that.

  8. Awe, well it could be worse...my Bam has chickenpox and my 10 year old has never had them; I have only my left hand to type with for the next 5 weeks;and my hair looks like I just came out of a rave party. I'll be dying it dark again, no more DIY home color for moi!

    Poor Hotrod (and Kristen)

I was up with Hubs at 4:30 this morning to send him off fishing. By 10, I was blurry eye.

Now I have to go clean the car...If I don't fall asleep

  10. Aww sorry about that. Two out of three kids ended up in my bed last night along with three cats. It was a tad crowded and therefore, I didn't sleep too well.

  11. My sympathies to both of you. Back pain is the worst - second only to dealing with a man who has back pain. Hopefully he'll wake up feeling better.

I slept fine - too bad I'm not still sleeping. I've got bitchin' cramps today and I would love a dose of something that would knock me out.

  13. lol. I slept soundly, but my husband has been sick for a couple of days. He even lost his voice...is that good or bad? hmm :P

Me? I've been overdosing on Zicam & Airborne. I remember all too well the last time he got me sick.
