Mi Familia

That's me and my awesome brother, Matt! As you can see, he got most of the Italian coloring. Although I am now much blonder thanks to Vincent and my trip to the salon yesterday. lol

My brother was only here for five days, but it was wonderful to see him and hang out, even if he does like to cannonball into the pool every stinking opportunity he can to splash me.

I miss my brother already. I wish he lived closer. He's a great dad, though, and his kids come first.

Do you have brothers or sisters? Are you close to them?

  1. It's awesome that you got to spend time with your brother.

I have two of each. Since I'm the baby by over five years, we've never been really close. Now that I live more than a thousand miles from any of them, most of the closeness we had flittered away. But I know, and I hope they do too, that should anything happen, we're always there for each other.

  2. I have one sister, and we're very close, closer since mom passed away a couple of years ago. Sis lives nearby and we talk on the phone every day. Our fav thing to do -- get pedicures together...which is on our agenda this weekend. :)

  3. Very cute. :-)

I have two sisters, one half-brother, and three step-sisters. :-) I'm pretty close to my "real" sisters, since my steps were added after I was married, though we all get along well.
I talk to my blood sisters all the time though.

  4. That's a great photo! Cute brother. ;)

I have one of each. My sis and I have become closer as adults, though we don't get to see each other often, either. My sis and I grew up away from our brother (he's a half-sibling), so no bond ever formed. Still, it's nice to be family.

  7. I have a big Brother who was my Matron of Honor. LOL! I got married in the tropics, and it was iffy who all would be able to be there. (we had about 20 friends and family in the end, it was spectacular!) So Big Bro knew he was there, and I asked him to stand up with me. He's fantastic, best Big Bro ever!
We're not very close in a chat on the phone sort of way, but I know if I needed him, he'd be there. and vice versa.

  8. Aww, that's great you guys got to spend time together. I have a younger sister and we've been best friends since I was five and she was three ;) We've even worked at three different jobs together. I talk to her every day!

  10. So nice you got to spend time with him. Do you get to see him often? I have 1 sister. We use to be really close but she's going through a rough patch right now so we haven't talked in almost a year. She's one of those people who hides when there's a problem, and I know I should call her but I keep putting it off due to my own problems.

  11. I'm glad you got to spend time with your brother. Mine lives a good ways away from me, too in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. My sister is only about 8 miles away, so we see each other a lot.

  12. That's so nice you had a chance to visit with your brother. Like the two of you, my brothers tan much better. I have five younger brothers and we don't get to see each other much. We do stay in touch over the phone though. We were very close growing up. I'm closer to two of them now. Dynamics changed when in-laws came into the picture with two others. I do miss them all though.

  15. Love the picture! Your brother is a cutie and I can now see the Italian side of your family ;-)

I'm the baby of seven, though by knowing any of my siblings you would swear I was the oldest. It's amazing how close we are even with 800 miles between us.
