Seven Weeks and Counting

So...started your Christmas shopping yet? I'm determined to be done early this year - I have to be, since we're going away the week before Christmas. When do you start? Do you brave the stores the day after Thanksgiving? Is there a method to your madness? Share! I need tips and ideas.

  1. Okay lady. now you're luring me into the world of procrastination with talks of Christmas!

    Evil Temptress.

This year, I'm making jewelry for all my gifts to moms, SILs, and nieces.

We're taking our kids to Disney in March and that's part of their Christmas gift.

As for the nephews, my bros and my hubby? I'm clueless.

  2. I may be sick, but I actually start my Christmas shopping the week after Christmas. I have 8 nieces and nephews, a stepson, a husband and assorted other people to buy for. Leaving it til the "Christmas season" is hell on my checking account, not to mention, the after-Christmas sales are awfully tempting - and they give me a reason to shop! 3. From Boxing day on I Christmas shop. I have all but the big pres for my 13 yr old bought. Well, except for my s-i-l who lives in Belgium. I was just about to send her a little gift when she emailed that she was getting married. Sooooooooo, now I'm trying to find something to send for that as well (cheaper to send one big package than 2 smaller ones). Oh, and I have tried out the recipe but obviously I can't make the shortbread rounds for workmates until closer to the day. Just got my pud made this week --very exciting. I love Christmas.

Noooo. It can't be time for Christmas shopping yet. My list has about 100 people on it-really!-so of course I want until the last minute to shop.

  5. I wait until a week or two before Christmas, panic, then shop online, paying 2nd Day UPS. :)

  7. This is the first year that I've not done nada, zip, zilch. I probably wont until the beginning of Dec.
    Am I nuts?
    Probably.
What allows me this trip to insanity is that most of the neices and nephews want the all might buck - easy to give, hard to find discount savings on..*sigh*
    OK, try impossible.

I bought whoopie cushions for my nephews, does that count? LOL
