I have so many books to read and so much writing to do. How am I to find the time? I even have books to read that must be reviewed (so obviously, they're first up). I'm hoping to tie up some loose ends in my writing and be able to take December off (not that I won't write at all, but I won't have any more self-imposed deadlines hanging over my head) and put a serious dent in my TBR pile.
How do you balance writing and reading?

So Many Books, So Little Time

I've been so bad lately. My reading has really taken a backburner. With everything else going on in my life, it's just been one of a couple of things that had to be sacrificed. But, I miss it.
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm giving myself a night a week to read. No tv, no writing. Just reading.
It's not a lot, but it's better than nothing--which is where I am right now.
I don't balance them. I pick up a book because I neeed to destress and if it's good, Like Paullina Simmon's The Bronze Horseman, Then I lose days. But it's such an incredible feeling. So happy and thrilled and bubbling brook because I found something htat good, that I consider it a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI don't do a very good job at all. I'm in a book club and I can't remember the last time I actually finished the book. Isn't that sad? I need to be better.
ReplyDeleteThe other problem is I its been awhile since I've found a good book, like The Bronze Horseman, to totally lose myself in.
Easy. I read before I go to bed. Since I stop writing at or around four or five p.m, there's no problem. The problem is between my movie watching and reading. I do both at night and sometimes the two conflict.
ReplyDeleteUm, balance?
ReplyDeleteI've given up sleeping.

Oh Kristen, I just blogged about this in my Thursday 13 today. I have so much to read and, like you, my reviews need to come first. I have a pile of books around my desk, those are the ones that don't need to be reviewed and so keep getting pushed back. Ack!
