It's something else all right, it's a giant pain in my backside.
After a 9-hour plus wait in the Orlando airport, Airtran canceled our flight to Baltimore due to storms and ultimately, air traffic back up. That's right, I'm still in Florida, with no clear idea as to when I'll get up to see my family.
I understand that bad weather happens. What ticks me off is that Airtran took so stinking long to make the decision to cancel the flight. If they'd done it earlier, we wouldn't have been stuck in the airport so long and we might have been able to make other arrangements. As it stands now, getting up there for the weekend would be a very expensive proposition.
Why can't businesses be run with a little common sense and human compassion? Is that so much to ask?
Bummer!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll still be able to get a flight out to visit your 'rents. :)

ReplyDeleteAww, I'm sorry Kristen. That stinks royally. I hope things end up on an up note for you, in spite of the uncomfortable delay.
ReplyDeleteCustomer service has been canceled due to lack of initiative. I see it everywhere I go. (sigh) Oh, for the good old days, when people weren't so afraid of having their asses sued off that they'd make a decision without consulting every authority they could possibly pass the buck to first.
ReplyDeleteSorry your weekend got screwed, hon.
