Random Thoughts

I don't really hate Mondays, but how cute is that picture? Mondays aren't that terrible, really. After all, they mean a fresh start to a new week. How bad can that be?

I'm doing what I hope is my last and final Christmas shopping trip today. Then the wrapping begins. Ick. I don't like wrapping at all.

I dreamed about Jerome Bettis last night. Do you think that means I'm watching too much football?

I have so much to do in the next two weeks, I don't know where to start. Christmas functions to attend, presents to deliver, ornaments to make, cat accessories to buy (for the road trip), presents to wrap, packing...this time of year is so stinkin' busy! But I've resolved to fit some writing in there somewhere.

How do you balance the holiday madness with writing?

  1. I'm still trying to balance writing and the holidays. Here's an indication: I haven't written a thing since Tuesday.

PS. I HATE wrapping, too. I look forward to it as much as ironing.

  2. That's what I'm trying to figure out now, and I'm not doing a very good job at it. :-)

  3. I usually don't do a very good job of it and the writing goes out the window. This year though I have deadlines so I have to write. So uh I"m not sure how I'm going to do this...

One thing is that I'm done with Christmas shopping. Done! So no more hurried trips to the mall unless I WANT to. And I doubt I'll want to. LOL

  6. Awww. Thanks, Kristen, I needed a cute kitty pic. =o)

Holidays and writing... I, umm, haven't done anything about decorating, making my usual gazillion batches of cookies, or putting up the tree. OMG, and I haven't done x-mas cards yet! Ack! On the upside, I finally went shopping today, and I think I'm done. As for writerly pursuits, I've been editing all along and that's going pretty well. Heck, I working on Thanksgiving, and I'll probably work on Christmas (at least that night after everything else is done).
