Don't you hate when you fall asleep thinking about the perfect blog topic, only to wake up and not remember what the heck it was? I even keep a notebook and pen on my nightstand, but I guess I was too sleepy to write it down.
It's an overcast day here. Rain is moments away, I'm sure. I need to make this quick so I can get out for my walk. Speaking of which, I've decided to try listening to some audio books as I walk. Yesterday, lots of people on twitter said how much they enjoy them, but I've never listened to one in my life, so it will be a new "thing" and it's always good to try something new.
I've downloaded the software to my Zune, set up an account at Audible, now I just need to figure out what I want to listen to.
Do you do audio books? What have you listened to lately?

Hmm. I don't know that I've ever listened to an audio book. Besides kids stuff, anyway.
ReplyDeleteHope your day clears up and the weekend is beautiful!
The last audio book I listened too was Anne Rice;s Witch series back when CD players were the height of cool. But I enjoyed them. I just like holding a book and smelling it better.
ReplyDeleteI've never listened to an audio book. My mom likes them - she listens in the car when she's traveling. Let us know what you think about them. :)
ReplyDeleteThe last audio book I listened to was Memoirs of a Geshia. I had it on while I cooked dinner, did the dishes etc... It was a great experience. You can get tons of them from itunes.
ReplyDeleteMy chums who drive a lot for work swear by it. I usually day dream while I'm driving, plotting, etc. But the rest of the tiem I just like MUSIC! Its very rare that I don't have some sort of music on in the background.
ReplyDeleteAudio books are amazing..if you have a long car trip! But, then I always forget to get them!
ReplyDeleteI love listening to audio books when I'm on a long drive. Love all the shopaholic books. However, a bad reader can also turn you off a book! It's one of the reasons I don't like Ranger from the Stephanie Plum books. The reader makes him sound retarded. Ba-a-a-abe. Like's he Rocky with a terrible Cuban accent!
ReplyDeleteI've never listened to an audio book. I bet it will be great for walks though!! I just recently starts taking my Sony Reader to the gym and reading while I do the elliptical or crossramp That is working really well for me. Time flies by! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteDresden Files... they're narrated by James Marsters, aka Spike from Buffy & Angel.
