Yesterday Was A Big Day!

What a day yesterday turned out to be!

My friend Eden Bradley sold in an auction to Bantam Dell for a two book deal, my friend Jax sold to Amber Quill by winning their Heat Wave contest, another friend, Babe, sold to By Grace Publishing!

Me? Well, no sale but I did get a request from Berkley for a full on my second book.

  4. That is wonderful, you're on a role with request and I think it's a matter of days before you're discovered. You are super talented and I hope Berkley scoops you up!

  6. Congrats on the request for a full, K! Does berkley take unagented submissions? If so, who is the contact for a query letter?

    Thanks!

I love hearing about all this good news! Things are happening!

  7. Thanks for all the well wishes!

Laine - they don't take unagented submissions but I think you can still send a query letter. I had the good fortune to get a little help from a friend of mine who writes for them. She sort of recommended me to her editor.

I will say this - it took almost six months to hear back on that query, even with the recommendation. Prepare to wait if you send one.

  10. That's awesome, Kristin. This has turned out to be a fabulous year for the Divas! Here's hoping you and I both will that we sold to NY soon!!! That would really rock, wouldn't it? :D
