Recently, the NY Times listed their "beach reads" - surprisingly enough *not* there wasn't a romance on the list.
Who do they think they're kidding? When it comes to beach reads, it doesn't get any better than romance!
What are you looking forward to reading this summer? Have any go-to standby's for summer reading? Do you look to any other genre's for your beach reads?
Talk to me!
I'm still trying to figure out how the gal in your picture got onto that floatie-thing withouth getting her book wet.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have beach reads. Part of it has to do with not having any beaches around, but mostly it's because I don't change my reading habits for summer. My stack of immediate TBRs includes Nevil Shute's "A Town Like Alice", Alyssa Day's "Atlantis Rising", and one of the Albert Campion Mysteries by Margery Allingham.
I just bought Janet Evanovich's "Lean Mean Thirteen" for my reading pleasure. I was kidding myself to believe I could wait for the paperback to come out this time. :)
ReplyDeleteWhile it is listed as mystery there is a romantic element included.
If I even make it to the beach this year, I'll most certainly take a romance novel, or two, or sixteen. I have a wide selection to choose from. :)

I have a ton of books I'm dying to read, some by friends, some that just called to me. And then there's always Harry Potter!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't go to the beach until fall, but I like light reading when I'm on vacation. We like to sightsee, and we're usually on-the-go a lot, so I'll take a couple of short category romances like Silhouette Desire with me.
