Ark Building Has Commenced

Once upon a time, there was a lovely young couple who lived in Virginia, so that the husband could serve his country in the Air Force. During their stay in that fine state, a horrible woman named Isabelle came to visit. She stayed for 17 hours, dumping tons of rain and blowing down trees. She liked this young couple so much, she left most of the downed trees in their house, nearly splitting it in two.

At long last, the young man's tenure in the Air Force came to an end and the young couple hied themselves to the happiest place on earth: the Sunshine State. They loved the sunshine and the warm weather and the friendly people. Life was good!

Then Fay came to visit. The young couple immediately recognized her as the distant and much more morose cousin of Isabelle. Fay pouted and wept and tossed things about. She even knocked over some trees! Waters rose. Pools overflowed. Sewers backed up. After three days of this (and no end in sight), the young couple decided it might be time to build and ark for them and their three furbabies.

So. What are you up to today?

  1. I'd say come to Colorado, but it's been uncharacteristically wet here this month, and lately I wouldn't wish this state on anyone. Hang in there. FL will be the wonderful place again soon - just a little messier for a while. :HUGS:

  2. I know I'm not supposed to laugh, but you're funny.

  3. Oh that darn Fay. hang in there young couple. Think of me shoveling snow this winter while you are sitting pretty.

  4. No Ark needed here in Vegas. I'm gearing up for my last full day away from home.

  5. Oh dear. I hope there's some sunshine on the horizon for you. :)
