The Female Mind

So Lara Santiago and I are in aerobics the other day, sweating our not yet small behinds off, when the subject of Vin Diesel comes up. Maybe it was the sweating, I don't know. After that, I had a hard time concentrating on the steps and ended up doing my own thing a few times. What can I say? The man distracts me.

I did end up with an interesting idea for a book, though. Weird where ideas come from, isn't it? My third book was entirely inspired by a random snippet of a dream about Bobby Flay. My second book from a piece of artwork.

Where have your ideas come from? What's the strangest inspiration you've had?

They just seem to pop into my mind at the oddest times, not really when I'm doing anything in particular. Out of the ether I guess you could say :)

  2. First off... Vin Diesel..ugh. C'mon.. all I see is a no-brainer.. hahaha

Where do I get my ideas? Anywhere and everywhere. A song, a piece of artwork, an article, dreams, a conversation... gosh, even in the midst of writing my current WIP I have ideas.

Gee, I can think up a whole story on just about anything. There are times it makes my friends and family crazy. Just ask Lisa. She can say a word and I'll have the whole story detailed.

  3. Actually, Vin is a exceptionally talented guy and self-made man. He wrote, directed and produced the first film he was in, Multifacial, about multiculturalism. That film showed to standing room only crowds in Cannes and led Steven Speilberg to create a role espcially for Vin in Saving Private Ryan. You should read up on him - he's pretty amazing!

  4. I've got friends who met him in person and weren't impressed with his barbaric behaviour.

Accomplished or not, he can't act and I don't find him the least bit attractive. :P

  5. I like barbaric. He's a perfect alpha-male role model.

I so need to watch xXx again...

  7. I get my ideas when I drive. And I do a lot of plot sorting out when I drive.

I should drive more often. LOL

I love Vin Diesel. I have a Vin Diesel post here: http://melissafrancis.blogspot.com/2005/11/warning-be-prepared-to-snort.html

It's in the same vein as the Chuck Norris and Jack Bauer posts. If you need to pee, don't read it.
